Our Angora yarn is an incredibly soft, 100% natural fiber plucked from premium Angora rabbits. Its luxurious feel also keeps you wonderfully warm and dry.
100% Angora rabbit wool is at least 7 times warmer than sheep wool. It has wonderful drape and a signature furry “halo” that gives it the characteristic Angora look.
Fluffy and Light!
Angora wool is one of the lightest natural fibers known. Its hollow fiber structure makes it ideal for thermal clothing. Angora fiber can only be produced by Angora rabbits. The wool fibers measure 10-13 microns whilst the highest quality lambs wool is 18 micron.

Angora yarn is unbelievably comfortable to wear next to the skin. It allows the skin to breathe whilst absorbing moisture and helps to maintain a steady temperature at the skin’s surface. It keeps you warm, dry and comfortable.

Angora wool improves blood circulation. Research has demonstrated that Angora wool is up to 7 times warmer than sheep's wool. This warmth-giving therapeutic effect is particularly beneficial for people with cold painful joints, sciatica, arthritis, muscle tension, kidney ailments, rheumatics, chilblains, circulatory disorders etc.
Beautiful Hand Dyed Colors!
Our vivid Angora colors include timeless classics such as chocolate, black, white, old rose etc. plus many rare colors such as raspberry, wine, peach, old rose, emerald, mint, dark cyan etc.
All knitted items should be hand washed only in warm water using pure soapsuds. Rinse thoroughly, spin dry and lay out to dry away from direct heat and sunshine. Do NOT tumble dry, press or iron.
Rest assured that as the wool is plucked, the fluffy Angora rabbits experience absolutely no pain. It is groomed from the rabbits during their seasonal molts (approx. 3-4 times each year). Grooming is necessary for the rabbit's continued good health.
Hand Spun, 100% Angora yarns are sold 50 grams skeins or 1.76 oz., approx. 60 yards in length. Our premium Angora yarns are hand spun from prime groomed Giant Angora fiber for maximum halo. These yarns are spun to resist shedding in the finished garment. Handspun Angora yarn is a quality product and your best value in luxury knitting yarns.
